Pinot Gris 13th Generation 2005

Coming from the Osterberg parcel of Pinot Gris behind our winery, from a deep stony soil, mixed of clay and limestone on a base of sandy stone from the Vosges mountaines, the grapes were picked very early October  2005.

It was a great surprise to see our parcel with such a good quality of grapes, so ripe but which kept a wonderful acidity. Rich with 35g of residual sugar per liter, it benefits from the freshness of the 2005 vintage.

It has been released middle of January 2011 after 6 years of bottle ageing in our cellar.

Food and wine pairing: foie gras, white meats and rich sauces, asiatic and oriental cuisines, tarts, etc...

Production: only in 2002 and 2005, only 250 cases.

Availibility: vintage 2005.
